Very clever editing by a very clever dude. I’m kinda looking forward to hearing what he’s capable of. People are calling him the next Marshall Mathers but his flow is different and his beats are fresh, expect big things from this kid. Not as the “second white rapper” but as the college kid with ridiculous flow.
This is an ad that was put together by Asher and crew with the ad campaign to get out and vote for this past election.
Tyson, a film by James Toback, has been receiving some press lately. The film documents the life and career of Mike Tyson, from his beginnings in Brooklyn to his last fight where he was knocked out by Kevin McBride. This movie would be enjoyed by any fans of Tyson as well as any fans of sports in general. An interesting moment that caught my attention during the film was when Tyson was explaining how he somehow (he said from either a prostitute or a “promiscuous woman” but he wasn’t completely sure) contracted gonorrhea before his Heavyweight Title match and was too embarrassed to tell anyone about it so he fought the fight and won despite being in all types of pain before a punch was even thrown. During a weigh in a heckler yelled “Put him in a straitjacket!” and Tyson’s response is probably the scariest thing anyone could ever say to me. Tyson is obviously not the greatest person to admire but from a sports point of view, winning your first 19 professional fights by TKO, 12 of which occurred in the first round, is pretty impressive. The movie is surfacing all over the internet now but will officially be in theatres April 24, 2009.
I came across these images in my photo gallery earlier today. They are some shots I took while shooting the Winter Collection look book. I feel they give a good perspective on the side of Montauk most people dont see, the quiet, cold, desolate Montauk that you need to be here to really understand.
Our main man, Victor Ma, has been spending some time abroad in Shanghai, living the life back in the motherland. I’m happy to see he’s still keeping it real for us shmucks back in New York, and is still representing.
Don’t forget about us Vic, and you better be back in the Hamptons this Summer.
