Im late on my MAGIC post, of course. But today was the second day of the MAGIC convention out in the desert, Las Vegas, where all the streetwear junkies come out to play, and sometimes dress up and look like clowns.

The (for some reason) world famous Akira (aNYthing).

Story time.

Early in the afternoon, a crowd started gathering around the center of the SLATE area’s dj booth. I heard Asher Roth get on the mic and start killing it and Mos Def was manning the dj booth and would occasionally kick a freestyle to the crowd.

About half an hour after they hopped off the mic, Mos Def was hanging in front of the Too Black Guys booth, when just after I hand him a shirt and he thanks me, and throws it over his shoulder, some geezer runs up and shoves his camera in his face and starts snapping off shots, after Mos was repeatedly requesting “no photos.” Things quickly got heated and Mos ended up ripping his top-notch camera out of his hands, cutting the dudes hand open in the mean time.
